Growing up, I drew on EVERYTHING! My childhood dream was to become a Disney Animator. In fact, when I began college I was in pursuit of an animation degree, but after a few classes realized my talent and passion for graphic design. So instead, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Communication Graphics .

My life and career have since taken me on a great adventure. I have worked at a print shop, protected shipwrecks, assisted with special events and sea turtle releases, built public exhibits and parade floats. In roles from conservation to retail marketing, I have been fortunate to work with amazing people, live in beautiful places, and grow my skill set and interests.

I love graphic design, but my creativity is often stifled behind a computer screen. So for many years, I’ve been considering how I might take my lifework beyond the desk.

In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a nationwide quarantine, I took advantage of my time spent at home. I organized my home art studio, “got messy” again with charcoal, worked on a book idea with my BFF, and sat down to reevaluate life goals with my husband. It was a creative time, time I didn’t realize how badly I needed.

From it, Ginabird Creative Studio was born for my art, and Untapped Arts for my soul. The concept is a platform for creative community-building, networking, artistic inspiration, and a virtual gallery to enjoy and shop a freshly curated collection by exclusive artists.

So this is where my great adventure takes me next, and I hope that you’ll join me for it. Together, we will build an inspirational community comprised of artists, creatives, and courageous individuals hoping to explore outside their comfort zone. This is a safe space for ideas, collaborations, interpretations, and beginners. So, let’s make a mess.
